Reviews
Sydney businessess that trusted Upscale with their workplace.
Hiring an office painter means letting a contractor onto a floor you’re responsible for, around your staff, your equipment and, often, your landlord’s building rules. Here’s what that’s been like for the businesses who’ve used Upscale Painting & Decorating.

The problem
A repaint shouldn’t shut your office down.

For an office, the painting is rarely the hard part. The hard part is fitting it around a workplace that still has to function.
The job has to happen while people are at their desks, the phones are ringing and the meeting rooms are booked, or it has to happen in the narrow windows when they’re not. Get the scheduling wrong and a cosmetic refresh turns into lost productivity, staff working around drop sheets, and a fortnight of paint fumes nobody can concentrate through.
Then there’s the building itself. If you lease your floor, the work has to satisfy your landlord or building manager, certificates of currency lodged, after-hours access booked, loading docks and lifts reserved, common areas left untouched. And if you’re at the end of a lease, the repaint isn’t optional at all: it’s a make-good obligation, and the standard of the finish affects whether you get your bond back cleanly.
On top of all that is the quote. Too many office jobs start with a rough figure and end with a list of variations, extra prep, extra coats, “we didn’t allow for the ceilings”, and an invoice nobody signed off.
The job you actually want is simple: a painter who prices the work properly and holds that price, schedules around how your office runs, turns up compliant, uses paint your staff can sit next to, and leaves you with a finish that lasts. That’s the job Upscale Painting & Decorating is built to do.
The Upscale Promise
Five things in writing with every office paint job.
Most office painters tell you they’re professional, reliable and tidy. We’d rather put it in writing. Every office job Upscale Painting & Decorating takes on comes with the same five commitments, documented and agreed before a brush is lifted.
Services
Office painting services across Sydney.
Upscale Painting & Decorating handles every kind of office painting work, from a single boardroom refresh to a full-floor repaint between tenants. Whatever the brief, you get the same fixed price, the same compliance and the same owner running it.
The process
How we paint your office from site visit to sign-off.
A strata repaint runs smoothly when everyone knows what happens next. Here’s exactly how an Upscale Painting & Decorating strata job works.
Schedule and sign-off
We agree a written schedule that works around your business, staged by area, or after-hours and weekends where the floor needs to be clear. We confirm building-access arrangements, lodge any certificates your building manager needs, and you sign off on the price and plan before anything starts.
Protect, prepare and paint
We protect desks, equipment, flooring and IT, prepare every surface properly, and paint with low-odour, low-VOC systems. The floor is left clean and usable at the end of each shift, not a worksite your staff have to navigate the next morning.

Local Specialists
Painting offices across Sydney’s business districts.
Sydney doesn’t have one kind of office, and a painter who treats them all the same will get the scheduling, and the prep, wrong.
In the CBD core, almost everything is a tenancy floor inside a managed commercial tower. The painting itself is straightforward; the building is not. Work means booked after-hours lift and loading-dock windows, certificates of currency lodged with building management, fire-stair access arrangements, and keeping common areas spotless while the floors above and below keep trading. We plan office jobs in the CBD around those windows rather than against them.
The lower North Shore corridor, North Sydney, St Leonards, Chatswood, and the purpose-built business parks at Macquarie Park and Norwest are a different job again: larger floorplates, more open-plan space, and often more room to stage a repaint area by area without anyone leaving the building. Parramatta, Sydney’s second CBD, sits somewhere between the two, with a fast-growing stock of modern office space.
Then there’s Sydney’s creative-office belt, the converted warehouses and terraces of Surry Hills, Redfern, Alexandria, Pyrmont and Waterloo. Heritage brick, rendered masonry, high ceilings, exposed services and polished concrete are nothing like the plasterboard and suspended ceilings of a tower fit-out, and they need a painter who preps and coats each surface for what it actually is.
Most Sydney offices are also leased rather than owned, which shapes the work in two directions: incoming-tenant fit-out painting at the start of a lease, and end-of-lease make-good painting at the end. Upscale Painting & Decorating handles both, and works to the landlord or building-manager requirements that come with them.
FAQ
Office painting questions, answered.
The most common questions office managers want answered before hiring a painter.
Can you paint our office without shutting it down?
Yes. Upscale Painting & Decorating plans office repaints around a working business, staging the job area by area so teams can keep working, and using after-hours or weekend work where a floor needs to be completely clear. You’ll have a written schedule before the job starts, showing which areas are painted and when.
Do you paint offices after hours and on weekends?
After-hours and weekend painting is available as an option for Sydney office jobs, and it’s often the best choice for floors that can’t be disrupted during business hours. After-hours scheduling can carry a premium, which is set out clearly in your fixed-price quote so there are no surprises.
Will staff be able to work while you paint?
In most cases, yes. Upscale Painting & Decorating uses low-odour, low-VOC paint systems on occupied offices, which keeps the air workable and means staff can usually return to a painted area quickly, often the next morning. For larger jobs, staging the work area by area keeps the rest of the floor fully operational.
Do you handle building management and insurance requirements?
Yes. Upscale Painting & Decorating is fully licensed and carries $20 million in public liability cover, and we provide certificates of currency, Safe Work Method Statements and inducted painters as required. We work directly to your building manager’s access, insurance and out-of-hours requirements.
Can you match our brand colours?
Yes. We colour-match to your brand palette and can carry your colours through reception, boardrooms and feature walls. As a Dulux Accredited Painter, Upscale Painting & Decorating has full access to Dulux colour systems and can advise on durable, office-appropriate finishes.
